Africa Healing Exchange envisions a world where those who experience the trauma of war, violence, and poverty no longer have to suffer from the resulting pain, dysfunction, substance abuse and addiction. We are committed to training individuals around the world to effectively deal with generational trauma through the development of practical resiliency and healing skills.
Africa Healing Exchange’s mission is to provide resilience training to caregivers in post-conflict communities, enabling them to pass along the skills to youth and families who are suffering from trauma-related illnesses, helping to end the cycle of trauma.
The AHE Recovery and Resilience Pilot Program is taking place in multiple locations throughout Rwanda. It is being continuously refined in order to fit with the Rwandan cultural context, and is being delivered in the form of train-the-trainers so as to reach the most people possible. This model will be replicated in other communities around the world that are affected by unrest and cultural divide.
